ABSTRACT
LC/MS/MS screening of 21 opioids and their metabolites – codeine, morphine, 6-O-acetylmorphine, morphine-6-glucuronide, buprenorphine, dihydrocodeine, fentanyl, acetylfentanyl, naloxone, naltrexone, hydromorphone, oxymorphone, hydrocodone, norbuprenorphine, norcodeine, norfentanyl, oxycodone, meperidine (pethidine), tramadol, methadone and EDDP – on an ARION® Plus C18, 3 µm column (50 mm × 3.0 mm, ARI-5720-IG30). Gradient elution with A: 1 % ammonium formate in water and B: methanol : 1 % ammonium formate in ACN 50/50 (v/v) at 0.5 ml/min and 30 °C. Each compound is monitored with a quantifier and a qualifier transition at a collision energy of 35 ± 15 eV, with morphine D6 as internal standard; the whole panel elutes within 8.5 minutes.
