ABSTRACT
Determination of fat-soluble vitamins – retinol / vitamin A (CAS 68-26-8), delta-tocopherol / E309 (CAS 119-13-1), gamma-tocopherol / E308 (CAS 54-28-4), alpha-tocopherol / E307 (CAS 59-02-9) and alpha-tocopheryl acetate (CAS 58-95-7, RRR-α-isomer) – on an ARION® Plus C18, 3 µm column (100 mm × 4.6 mm, ARI-5720-II46). Gradient elution with A: water and B: methanol (85 % B at the start, 100 % B from 10 to 18 min) at 1.0 mL/min and 40 °C, injection volume 5.0 µL, UV detection at 284 nm. Retinol elutes at about 6 minutes and the tocopherols between 11 and 14 minutes; the note also shows linear calibration curves for retinol and the three tocopherols.
